Krash is by far one of the easiest and also the most improved fosters we have ever had in our program.
She affectionate, sweet, playful, and cuddly.
2 years old
German Shephard Dog
Weight: 79 lb
Krash is friendly with other dogs but as is typical for many GSDs she can be a bit intense sometimes during greetings. She can be defensive with stranger-dogs but once introduced and a relationship is allowed to form she gets along with dogs of all sizes.
Krash's play style boxer, chase, and body slam. So when she hits it off with a dog she plays hard and is best matched with dogs of eaqual size or larger that don't mind the rough and tumble play style.
Krash does best with confident dogs that are good at setting clear boundaries. Some dogs find Krash just too intimidating or rude. She was socilized at a an older age so her communication skills are not always as gentle as she intends them to be.
Krash is very sweet with children and only continues to improve as she ages.
She has extreemly positive but few encounters with children. The biggest concern is just her sise. She is not exactly graceful and is still young so she needs to be supervised when around young children to ensure she continues to develop calm and relaxed interactions with children.
Krash does have some pray/herding drive that can be dangerous for small animals like chickens, cats, and possibly sheep or goats. She has never killed another animal on our small farm but when the oportunity has presented it's self she has chased and pinned a chicken once, chased a square, chased deer, and chased cats.
This behavior is easily managed and with continued training could and already has improved some.
With a slow introduction and time spent working with her I think she could live in a house with a calm dog savy house cat. She has successfully met a cat indoors and wasn't intrested since the cat didn't react or run from her she just walked by.
Krash has been great with horse and even gone horse camping and for a short trial of a trail ride just to see how she would do. She has been good around horses always.
Fabulous! She loves people but is not over zellous with new people. She loves people who love and are comfortable with large dogs the most. She is more reserved with people who seem more nervious around her. A great trait.
Krash has an increadible way of reading people and mioring their emotions. Because of this she needs a secure and stable family. When she has been handled or stayed with people who are highly anxious themselves she has become highly anxious.
Krash is a 100% healthy, strong, athletic dog. She currently thrives on Solutions Raw dog food and Real Meat dog food when camping or traveling where we don't have a freezer.
She is the best kind of athlete. She doesn't need an obnoxious amount of exersie. She would be happy to just play tug/chase around the yard for 15 min a few times a day. An ocational 45 min walk a few times throughout the week and a good romp or hike in nature once a week.
She would gladly sleep on your couch the rest of the day.
She has no aggression and no separation anxiety. She can hold her bladder for an entire work day if she needs.
A moderately active family or individual that enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and exploring.
Mostly emotionally stable family or individuals that allow her to feel safe and prioritize trust in their relationship with her.
A large yard, preferably fenced, that she can safely chill with her people outside. She is a huge fan of BBQ's and casual backyard gatherings with family and friends.
A resonably big home with space for her to navigate the living room and a large couch she could sprawl out on.
Krash would be very happy to share her home and life with other doggy sibling’s. Esspecially if there was one she could play with in the yard regularly.
Ideally the home is located in a quiet neighborhood or rural area that doesn't get a lot of dogs or people passing by the windows. While she can handle a few people occationally passing by keeping up on constent traffic and happenings is stressful and exhosting.
A family or individual that prioretizes health and nutrition. They are willing to feed a whole food diet or raw food diet to mantain Krash's health long term.
