🌙 Overnight Adventure Camp (Minimum 3-Night Stay)

This is not your average dog boarding—this is a true camping experience! When your dog stays with us overnight, we pack up the gear and head out for an immersive journey.

• Real Wilderness Camping: We take our small pack of campers out into nature to experience actual camping under the stars. They get to hike, sleep in tents, and enjoy the calming rhythm of the wilderness.

• "Camp on the Farm" (Our Cozy Backup): Mother Nature can be unpredictable. If weather or trail conditions prevent us from heading into the deep woods, we switch to "camp on the farm!" Your dog stays safely at our home base, enjoying structured farm exploration, indoor enrichment, and cozy home comforts.

• Constant Supervision & Training: Whether we are sleeping in a tent or on the farm, your dog receives 24/7 care, personalized reward-based training, and plenty of love.

Where do you go for the wilderness camping trips?

• We choose quiet, dog-friendly wilderness areas and backcountry spots where the dogs can safely experience nature without the stress of heavy crowds or high traffic.

How do you keep dogs safe while sleeping in tents or camping outdoors?

• Safety is our absolute priority at Kind Animal Services. Dogs sleep securely inside the tent with us, in our horsetrailer (mobile dog kennel), or truck camper, and we utilize specialized gear—including secure tie-outs, long lines, and GPS tracking collars if appropriate—to ensure every camper is physically safe and accounted for 24/7.

What happens if it rains heavily or the weather is bad during an Overnight Camp?

• If the weather makes a wilderness trip unsafe or uncomfortable for the dogs, we transition to "Camp on the Farm." Your dog will stay in our structured, comfortable home environment and enjoy enrichment games, farm sniffs, and cozy indoor manners training instead.

What if my dog has a high prey drive (loves chasing squirrels or deer)?

• Because we intimately evaluate your dog during their prerequisite training course, we plan for this! Dogs with a high prey drive remain securely attached to our heavy-duty long lines or safety tethers attached to a back-clip harness. Camp provides a wonderful, safe environment to practice impulse control and build a reliable "leave it" cue around real-world wildlife distractions.

My dog is a bit of a "velcro dog" and gets separation anxiety. Can they handle Overnight Camp?

• Because camp is limited to a maximum of 3 dogs, your pup receives continuous human companionship. They sleep right alongside us—whether in a tent or at the farm. However, if your dog experiences severe isolation distress, we will use your prerequisite Workshop or 6-week course to assess whether the transition to overnight camping is a good match for their current emotional threshold.
